Legal Organisation of Water and Wastewater in Comparative Perspective Case of South Africa
In this study, the authors have examined the legal regimes pertaining to water and sanitation in the republic of South Africa. At the inception of the report, the authors lay out the historical context of Apartheid within which the water and sanitation in South Africa are couched. The authors also look at the laws and policies applicable to water in the Republic. In this regard, the authors advance a three-pronged approach of examining the policy instruments, the laws and regulations and the business of water and Sanitation. Having covered these territories, the authors highlight the implementation challenges.
