Global Warming In an Unequal World: A Case of Environmental Colonialism
This article, a reprint of a seminal 1991 paper, argues that developing countries like India were being burdened unfairly with responsibility for addressing climate change. The authors discuss how allocating responsibility for climate change involved juggling with numbers. It argues for a fair allocation of natural sinks as an important part of any use of the global commons.
