Yogini Oke

FORMER RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Yogini Oke was a Research Associate at the Centre for Policy Research. Her work focussed on the legal and regulatory issues pertaining to the Water and Sanitation sector. More specifically, she has worked on non-sewered urban sanitation has been dealt with by local, state and national legislations, the Right to Water and institutional framework of water governance in India.

Prior to joining CPR, Yogini graduated in law from the West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences and pursued the Young India Fellowship from Ashoka University. She completed internships at various organisations such as PRS Legislative Research, Enviro-Legal Defense Foundation, CPR etc. Yogini analysed the political ecology of Bhalswa Landfill using the Actor-Network theory for a writing course at the Young India Fellowship. Her interests lie in the study of environmental law, policy and decision-making from an interdisciplinary perspective.
