Sunil Kumar Singh

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Sunil Kumar Singh is a Research Associate at CPR. He comes to CPR with substantial fieldwork experience on issues of labour and employment. He is engaged in projects on mapping service deliveries in urban informal settlements, state-citizen engagements in urban India, and on employment in Delhi’s industrial areas. Prior to joining CPR, Sunil was involved in an American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS) project on oral histories of migrants entitled ‘The Country and the City: For a Poetics of Informal Economies in Contemporary India’ with Vinay Gidwani (University of Minnesota) and Priti Ramamurthy (University of Washington). He has also been involved in projects on brick-kiln workers, ragpickers and on violence against women at workplaces.

Sunil holds a BA in Sociology from Shri Murli Manohar Town Degree College, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh.
