Abhinav Kumar

FORMER RESEARCH ASSOCIATE

Abhinav Kumar was a Research Associate at CPR and is working on the project, ‘Scaling City Institutions for India (SCI-FI): Sanitation’. His current work is focussed on studying the role of socio-economic and institutional factors affecting the sanitation behaviour of households. He is also working on developing an Information Education and Communication strategy and Behaviour Change Communication strategy for improving sanitation in Udaipur city.

Kumar holds a BE degree in Metallurgy Engineering from Indian Institute of Engineering Science And Technology (IIEST), Shibpur and has pursued an MA in Development from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. His research interest situates in exploring the linkage between urbanisation and delivery of public goods in small towns and cities of Udaipur, with a focus on understanding how social, cultural and economic transformation accompanying urbanisation affects the state society relation, around the delivery of public goods like sanitation, education and health.
