The Accountability Initiative, Centre for Policy Research invites you to a
consultation entitled Civil Society and Accountability on the 2nd and 3rd of
December 2009. The overall objective of the consultation is to debate the
nature and effectiveness of civil society led social accountability
experiments. Specifically, the consultation aims to address the following key
issues:

• Interrogating
  the scope, limitations and challenges to civil society efforts to
  strengthen accountability


• Identifying
  potential for replicability and scale


• Debating
  challenges of  institutionalization and effectiveness
