Location

Conference Hall, Centre for Policy Research

As part of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), countries around the world are preparing pledges to reduce their emissions. These pledges, known as intended nationally determined contributions (INDCs), are a key component of the global climate agreement to be established at the COP21 to be held in December 2015.

As a precursor to the Indian submission, we try to understand India’s options, given both the need to address development challenges and meaningfully contribute to climate mitigation. We will also discuss how the INDCs might be embedded in the 2015 agreement.

The Climate Initiative is organising media interaction to discuss the INDC process and track the growing momentum towards a strong global agreement to be determined in Paris.

Entry by invite only.
