  • Realizing Ambitions of the Rajiv Awas Yojana

    Bimal Patel, consultant, researcher and teacher, proposes a statutory framework - Slum Planning Schemes - for improving slums and assigning tenure.


  • Politics of land-use change along the river Yamuna in Delhi

    Alex Follmann, human geographer based at the Institute of Geography, University of Cologne, Germany will examine the dynamic land-use changes along the banks of the river Yamuna and the recent plans to create a biodiversity zone along the river.


  • Access to land and housing for slum dwellers in Delhi

    Veronique Dupont, from Institute of Research for Development Paris, examines the role of reclamation and real estate development in slum eradication, in the context of infrastructure works executed in preparation for the 2010 Commonwealth Games.
